Cadeby Limestone Chosen for Big Ben

Blockstone is pleased that the Cadeby Limestone has been chosen for refurbishment of the Elizabeth Tower – better known as the Tower of Big Ben – at the Palace of Westminster. This follows on from supplies going to the Courtyard at the Palace. The durability of the Cadeby was a major factor along with the close match for the original Anston Limestone. Cadeby quarry is in full swing and is seeing visits from many architects; clients and processors to mark up and select their stone from the BlockStore.
