Mouselow Hard York
Quarried just off Dinting Road, Glossop.
Mouselow York is hard; fine-grained and uniformly grey in colour with buff brown rings around the outer part of the block. It is a very durable and hard stone suitable for steps; paving and setts.
Mouselow has been used on many paving projects throughout the UK including Tesco Store, Higham Guildhall, London; Dickens Yard, Ealing; One New Bailey, Salford; The Corn Exchange, Manchester and some of the London Boroughs.
The stone has few natural flaws; very large block and cuts well with a general blade, making it a sound economical choice for stone producers. As the blocks are so large it is also available in a pure grey for all masonry and paving applications making this a very attractive sandstone
The quarry is worked periodically, either to order or to replenish stocks at the BlockStore in Cadeby. Availability from stock is usually within 24 hrs. Please contact our sales office for further details on 01246 927100 or email: office@blockstone.com
